The vision of Jazzmatazz Dance is to promote a love for social dancing, good music, and the joys that each brings to you and your partner. We are based in Prince George, British Columbia. Who are we?
Alison and Yvon are professional educators and are passionate about movement, music, dancing, and teaching.
Alison McNeill-Allen has a Masters Degree in Fine Arts Education and teaches dance and languages at the high school level. Alison has been working with the YMCA since 2000, sharing her love of social dancing with adults from all walks of life.
Yvon Allen has a degree in Physical Education and teaches French Immersion at the primary level. Over the years, Yvon has trained many adults in running and intramural sport technique. He has been teaching dance with Alison since 2014.
Together we are Jazzmatazz Dance. We love to dance... dancing together, dancing with friends & students, learning new skills, and sharing our skills with others. We approach each class with a learning goal, but also with fun and humour. We believe in proper lead and follow technique -- not just pattern memorization -- so you can dance with anyone and look and feel good doing it.

Monthly Socials
Jazzmatazz Dance Co. has partnered with the YMCA of Northern BC to offer monthly dance socials as an opportunity for our students to practice, refine, and retain their skills. These events run on the last Saturday of the month (excepting July, August and December) from 7-10pm, with a beginner level mini-lesson from 7:00-7:30pm. They are open to all members of the community, but are specifically aimed at current/former/prospective Y students and their friends or family. The socials are held at the former Highland Elementary School at 155 McDermid Drive (see Google map below). With a wood floor, live DJ, and a friendly community of dance students and teachers, these events are the perfect practice venue for all dancers -- beginners and experienced alike.
